10 Father’s Day Vinyl Gift Ideas Your Dad Will Love

If you’re looking for some excellent Father’s Day vinyl gift ideas, here are the top choices I think virtually every dad will love.
Father’s Day Vinyl Gift Ideas (TLDR)
If you’re looking for the cliff notes version of this article, I would highly recommend these awesome vinyl and turntable gift ideas:
- Audio Technica AT-LP60X
- Victrola Re-Spin
- Vinyl Spin Clean
- Vinyl Me Please Subscription
- Wall Record Display Frame
- Record Weight
- Gift Card to Local Record Shop
- Ikea Kallax
- Records from Discogs
- Speakers
Now, let’s dig into each option a little closer.
Audio Technica AT-LP60X

Arguably the best record player for beginners on this list, the Audio-Technica AT-LP60X is an excellent plug and play player for any dad. If your pops grew up with vinyl records, he’ll enjoy this throwback to his youth. And if he never used a turntable in his life, this fully automatic record player removes all stress from the occasion.

Victrola Re-Spin

For those looking for one of the best portable record players, specifically one with very strong sound, look no further than the Victrola Re-Spin.
I reviewed this record player quite recently, and really appreciated its relatively strong sound (and bass), especially considering the sound emits from the player’s built in speakers. The record player also has bluetooth capabilities, as well.

Spin-Clean

Now once your dad is enjoying his vinyl, he’s going to need to keep it in good shape. To do that, I recommend getting him the Spin-Clean vinyl record cleaner.
Now some people may prefer ultrasonic record cleaners, and I get it—they work. But these also cost hundreds of dollars. And yet, for less than $100, you can manually wash your records in an efficient manner (all without breaking the bank).

Vinyl Me Please Subscription
Now if your dad gets easily overwhelmed with too many vinyl options, or he just wants to take a more hands off approach to vinyl collecting, how about you gift him with a subscription to Vinyl Me, Please?
This record club, which mails you a Record of the Month every 30 days, is a great way to discover new music and fresh artists your dad’s unfamiliar with.

Vinyl Record Display Frame

What fun is collecting 12×12” vinyl album covers if you can’t display them? So how about getting some awesome vinyl record wall display frames to throw your records covers into?
Successfully coming across as classy and a bit hipster, these wall frames are a great way to showcase your favorite music artist, band, and of course album cover.

Record Weight (or Clamp)
Now if your dad is already into vinyl, and he has a few warped records, help him out by gifting him a record weight or record clamp.
If you get a heavy weight, or simply screw on your record clamp tightly, it can help adhere your record to your platter, thus evening out your record and lessening the unsightly warp.

Gift Card to Local Record Shop
Whether your dad likes to buy records a a local record shop, or he likes chain stores such as Bull Moose or Newbury Comics, I recommend giving your dad a gift card to his favorite brick and mortar store (that sells vinyl, of course).
Now you no longer need to worry about what to buy him, or if he’ll love the album you purchased. He can now buy everything he wants thanks to your gift card.

Ikea Kallax

There are tons of ways to store vinyl records, but one of my favorite options are the Ikea Kallax shelves. Capable of holding dozens and dozens of records inside each cube, these shelves are absolutely the perfect height and width to fit your vinyl records. The shelves themselves aren’t too expensive, and also come in various colors/finishes too.

His Favorite Records from Discogs
If you can’t locate your dad’s favorite record in a physical store, or even on eBay, then I think it’s a safe bet to say that it’s probably available on Discogs.
So in this recommendation, I suggest going to one of the biggest online marketplaces in order to see if Discogs has the record your dad will love.
Not only does Discogs attract tons of sellers, but they also grade the quality of the vinyl record and jacket (usually from MINT or NEAR MINT to POOR or FAIL). This saves you time having to recklessly speculate over just how good the record you’re buying will sound.

Speakers

Finally, you gotta have some quality speakers if you have a turntable and some great vinyl records. And so in this final recommendation, I highly suggest seeking out some great bookshelf or floor speakers for your dad. And if you want extra flexibility, consider getting him powered speakers as well.
Wrapping It Up
In the end, finding the perfect Father’s Day vinyl gift ideas isn’t easy, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel impossible. I’m sure he’d be glad to receive virtually anything on this list from you as a present!
